It’s a Hollywood movie. It’s as real as a $9.99 bill with a pirate The Fast and the Furious 9 2001 2020 10 movies thank you for the memories signatures shirt ship and Jesus Christ at the helm on it. Other than having realistic engine mods on the cars (which would be more show car, rather than a daily driven). When my me, my cousins and friends would go out to the “runs” (as we call it here in Northern California), we would meet up at certain places that everyone knew of. Parking lots at supermarkets, Starbucks, Target, etc, and we all be standing around until enough people showed up to the race. Unlike the movie, it was hardly a party scene with neon lights in every other car or some other nonsense. It was just a bunch of guys standing around, talking about cars, checking out other guy’s cars, talking shit. That was the usual. Most of the cars that showed up to actually race only had a few mods installed. Intake, exhaust, turbo/supercharger, maybe some light suspension work and that was at the higher spectrum of the fixed up cars. There were lots of guys just running close to stock cars with no mods on it, save for a few cheesy stickers to look cool.

Lol. No there wasn’t a bunch of scantily The Fast and the Furious 9 2001 2020 10 movies thank you for the memories signatures shirt clad Asian women walking around. There wasn’t a DJ playing music under some bridge meet up point (just a guy blasting his system, showing it off). BUT there was one thing that the movie kiiiiinda got right when the cops come, everyone scatters! You were on your own to get out of there and not get caught, which would usually lead to a ticket for anything the officer could get you on. They would open your hood and see what you have. They would even get you for loitering. When my group left, we would usually stick together and fall back to a secondary meet up a point or just go straight to one of the few “race tracks” we had in San Jose. Always in the commercial area.
